Forum Rules

Germany has very strict laws for internet forum operation, so here are a few rules that have to be strictly followed.
  1. Posts containing illegal content of any kind or links to such content are prohibited. Content is any kind of material conveying information, like text, images, audio, video etc., including avatars and signatures.
  2. Posts containing hate speech, racism, sexism, pornography, severe profanity or posts that are suitable to damage business operations, or links to such are prohibited.
  3. Insults of any kind are prohibited.
  4. Posts containing commercial advertisements or links to such are prohibited. So is direct or indirect advertisement for profit or non-profit organizations of any kind.
  5. Spam, thread derailment or trolling are prohibited. So are OT, cross and double posting. Make a new thread for new content, and only one.
  6. Any other kind of illegal or anti-social behaviour is prohibited.
  7. Conflicts between forum members and/or staff are to be resolved via PM or e-mail. If you're upset, please chill out before flaming anybody.
  8. Images of any kind in signatures are not wanted and will be removed.
  9. Before asking a question, use the forum's search function to find out whether there is already an answer available. Google is an option, too.
Infringement of these rules will lead to temporary or permanent account closure and ban. Depending on the kind and severity of the infringement legal action can be taken against the perpetrator!

Bottom line: Keep everything civilized, and everybody will be happy. If you're upset, take your time to chill out, let a mod mediate if necessary.

Application Guide

Note that these rules are here to protect this forum and its operators, not to tie up its users; so apply them with common sense. Links to good tools or interesting web sites aren't considered "advertising" for example.

Legal Notes

Operator
This forum is operated by the provider named in the imprint (Impressum). That page also lists the contact details for enquiries and complaints. The forum is hosted in Germany and therefore subject to German and European law.

Data protection
Which data this forum processes is set out in the privacy policy. When you submit a post, the software stores the text together with the time and your IP address. The IP address is visible to administrators and moderators only and serves solely to prevent abuse. Registered members can view and change their data at any time in their user profile.

Access and deletion
Your account and personal data will be deleted on request; an informal message to the address given in the imprint is sufficient. On request, posts can be anonymised instead of deleted so that discussions remain comprehensible.

Minimum age
Registration requires an age of at least 16 years. Younger users need the consent of their legal guardians.

Responsibility for posts
The author alone is responsible for the content of a post; posts do not represent the opinion of the operator. If you come across unlawful content, please report it using the report function or by message to the team. It will be reviewed without delay once we are aware of it and removed where necessary.

External content and links
The respective provider is responsible for the content of linked pages. No infringements were apparent at the time of linking; continuous monitoring without concrete evidence is not reasonable.

Copyright
Post only your own content, or content for which you hold the necessary rights. By submitting a post you grant the operator the simple, unlimited right to keep it publicly available in this forum. The rights to the post itself remain with its author.

House rules
There is no entitlement to membership or to the publication of a post. The team may edit, move or remove posts and suspend accounts if these rules are broken.

Changes
These rules may be amended. The version published here at any given time applies.
